Game Preview: Hawks vs Huskies – Sunday April 21 @ 3pm

GAME PREVIEW
A win on Saturday night was just what the doctor ordered for the Taylor Hawks on Saturday night, who only 24 hours earlier looked deflated after being put through the wringer by the Cigna Wellington Saints. Their bounce back win was headlined by import EJ Singler and Tall Black Ethan Rusbatch, who both earned Team of the Week selections in the opening round, with the latter taking home Player of the Week. The Hawks will be without star import Daniel Kickert for this week’s contest following a back injury in last Friday’s game, so don’t be surprised if their two Round 1 standouts carry their hot start over to week two. As for the Huskies, Sunday’s fixture will be the third game played in four days. The Tasmanians have brought over an extended squad to cope with the inevitable fatigue, so rotations throughout their first two games may be the earliest indications as to how they will fair come Sunday afternoon.

From The Coach – Zico Coronel
Assistant coach and scout Rob Hartley has been working hard to learn about the Huskies’ players and coaches in preparation for Sunday’s game. Thankfully we have the advantage of observing the competition newcomer’s games on Thursday and Friday, which will be very helpful. Irrespective, and most importantly, the Taylor Hawks need to battle adversity and play better than we ever have collectively before. This challenge is constant.
