Game Preview: Saints vs Huskies – Friday April 19 @ 7pm

GAME PREVIEW
The Cigna Wellington Saints mastered a solid victory last week over the Hawks to tip-off a season they hope will end one step higher than 2018. For the Huskies there remain a great unknown, but you can be sure a big crowd will be on hand to welcome our friends from Tasmania. With a Thursday night game against the Jets, the travelling Huskies will be charged up for this one and settled in for a big crack at the mighty Saints. For the home team there is plenty to like about the instant synergy between Nick Kay and Shea Ili in particular, but don’t be fooled by thinking the Saints are a two-headed monster because they have multiple weapons. Arguably the most anticipated game of the round, we’ll all walk away from this one with plenty to talk about. Can the Huskies come to town and upstage the pre-season favourites or will the Huskies show-up the Saints and send a message to basketball fans across the country? Game On!

From The Coach – Paul Henare
We're looking forward to taking on the first Australian team to enter our competition. We have little to work off in terms of preparation with them having a bye last week but they have recruited well and have some exciting scoring talent. For us it’s about building on last week and continuing to grow as a team. We're still finding our identity but they way the group has come together in such a short time is really exciting.
