Travelling to the deep south for this inaugural event will be two New Zealand-based American-born basketballers, Casyn Buchman and Amanda Wayment. They will team up with locals Darci Finnigan and Arielle Williams-Mackey to complete the Dream’s exciting line-up.

Leading the charge, 28-year old Buchman is from Kansas and graduated from Washburn University after excelling in both basketball and tennis. A member of the Dream’s championship team in 2019, the sharp-shooting guard’s skills are sure to translate well to the 3x3 game.

Wayment is a more recent arrival to our shores. From Utah, the 24-year old is an alumna of Brigham Young University (BYU) where she teamed up in the forward rotation with Sky Sport Tall Ferns and Dream star, Kalani Purcell. Standing at 185 centimetres, Wayment brings height to the squad, to complement her silky finishing ability.

Finnigan returns to top-level basketball after a couple of years working her way back from an ACL injury. Sadly the injury curtailed her time at Northeastern Junior College in the USA, but she has stayed focused on the game that saw her represent the Junior Tall Ferns in 2016.

Finnigan also represents AUT in Tertiary basketball, and coaches the Premier Girls Basketball team at her alma mater, St Kentigern College.

At just 18-years of age, Williams-Mackey has a big future in both 3x3 and 5x5 basketball. The youngest player to participate in the recent Sky Sport Talls Ferns Showcase game, Williams-Mackey has already achieved much for someone so young. A regular in New Zealand's age-grade teams, she was also prominent in the nation's U18 3x3 teams in 2018 and 2019.

Recently moving back to New Zealand, Arielle has been living in Australia where she was a member of the Melbourne Boomers Academy under Sky Sport Tall Ferns coach Guy Molloy.

Look for the Dream to be a leading contender for the Schick 3X3 Cup silverware.
