Saints Snare Rising Star Finn Delany

The Wellington Saints continue to build ahead of the Sal's NBL 2020 season with a recruiting coup, this time snaring young star Finn Delany as they prepare to go back-to-back after winning the 2019 title.

Delany, who grew up playing for the Nelson Giants, will now find himself playing against his hometown next season after the Saints landed their key catch.

The 24-year old spoke with Liam Hyslop from Stuff, saying;

"I've got fond memories of playing for the Giants in Nelson. I grew up there and it helped me become the basketball player I am, but just at this stage of my career and where I am in my life, there wasn't much of a thought (of going back to Nelson)."

Saints chief executive Jordan Mills said the team was thrilled to have secured Delany.

"He's (Finn) someone on and off the floor who we have respected for a long time and we're really excited to get him in a Saints uniform."
